Distance Education Handbook Goals

The Moorpark College Distance Education Handbook aims to:

  1. Guide Faculty in Online Course Creation: Provide comprehensive information and best practices to assist Moorpark College faculty in developing high-quality online course materials.
  2. Offer Evaluation Resources: Identify and present tools and resources that enable Moorpark College faculty to assess and enhance their online course content and delivery methods.
  3. Promote Quality Standards: Support Moorpark College faculty in designing and submitting courses that meet or exceed the exemplary standards set by the California Virtual Campus-Online Education Initiative (CVC-OEI) Course Design Rubric.
  4. Ensure Compliance: Assist faculty in understanding and implementing mandatory policies and procedures for creating and teaching online courses at Moorpark College.
  5. Foster Professional Development: Provide additional resources and guidelines to support ongoing professional growth in distance education practices.
