MC POCR (Peer Online Course Review) Program
What is the CVC-OEI?
The California Virtual Campus - Online Education Initiative (CVC-OEI) is a grand supported initiative by the California Community College Chancellor's Office. The CVC-OEI Rubric contains 28 rubric standards for Section A-C and 16 standards for Section D. The rubric is designed to ensure a quality online course which is aligned or exemplary in the areas of course design, interaction, navigation, assessment, learner support, and accessibility.
As a POCR Certified college (one of eight in the state of California), Moorpark College has a Peer Online Course Review process which allows for course instructors to submit their courses to be assessed through the lens of the CVC-OEI Rubric. Instructors will work with reviewers and an Accessibility team to ensure that their course in completely in alignment with the rubric standards, thus culminating a quality, online, learner-centered course.
